Core Knowledge Curriculum
Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School leverages curriculum designed to mitigate the achievement gap and promote sustainable improvements. Students have an educational plan that is developed and closely monitored by a team that includes the student, parents, and support specialists. Learning Partnership meetings are held three times a year to share student successes and leadership strengths. These meetings provide an opportunity to set individual goals for students and develop a plan of action. We also offer the following to our students to assist in blossoming the whole child by providing exposure to African American studies, social-emotional learning, music, art, and STEM.
Curriculum
We push our students towards excellence with a vast curriculum. As the only Leader-In-Me School in Western Pennsylvania, we integrate leadership and values into our culturally relevant pedagogy.
How We Test
Every child knows what is expected, what progress has been made, and what remains to be achieved. Students will develop competency in core academic areas, and a network of community and family support that will encourage and demand continued success.
